Our Story

With the onset of COVID-19, many communities’ food supplies, healthcare, and education have been interrupted with the closure of churches and schools. When Robyn Reimer of Seal Beach, California heard about the families who live in the remote Blue Mountains of Jamaica were unable to get food and supplies, she knew she needed to help.
Robyn has always had a love for Reggae music and its culture. When she heard about the food insecurity in Jamaica’s parishes, she was called to action to help feed as many families as she could. Robyn founded Eyes Open Foundation to uplift the lives and spirits of children in extremely remote and impoverished areas around the world. Her first area of focus is Jamaica. She has combined her extensive experience as a Business Development Executive, Event Manager and Concert Promoter to create Eyes Open Foundation, a 501(c)(3).
Robyn is partnering with several established organizations including Judy Mowatt’s Outreach Ministries in Jamaica to insure the funds granted are used by her and her Organization. In addition, the foundation has recently adopted a primary school In Manchester, Jamaica to assist with the purchasing of the Primary Schools indoor restrooms and Disabled persons ramps and accommodations for the school.
Robyns dear friend Garth Dennis (Founding Member of Black Uhuru, Wailing Souls frontman) penned the song EYES OPEN, a song that continues to Uplift and offer praise, encouraging her to name the foundation after the inspiring song. Garth Dennis came back to California from Jamaica on the last flight out before the pandemic shut down international travel. Garth along with his wife JenJe and Robyn, had a conversation regarding the many disadvantages facing the Children quarantined at home, lacking access to technology and the nutritional foods the children previously received at school, and as a result are suffering from malnutrition due to the Pandemic.
Robyn raised funds for computers, tablets, and cases, assorted school supplies, and food to help young people continue their education while staying nourished.
